I wonder if anyone else here has had this happen: I was trying to open the hood of my 325 and grasped it at top center, where there is clearly access meant for your hand. I also grabbed the lower side at the same time, but as I lifted the hood, a large wedge of green plastic broke away from the upper hood in my hand, leaving a gaping hole in the top. ARGHHHHH!!!
So now my well-maintained JD looks like a wreck. I just hate this. I have checked eBay and found uppers for $150. Any thoughts on a cheaper fix? A friend suggested that I try using a plastic welder, but I'm not sure that'll work. I'd probably botch it anyway. I'll try to post a picture later so you can see how nasty this looks.
