My front loader and my 3 point hitch will not lift as heavy a load as it used to; I hear a strain like a clutch slipping, etc. Any ideas as what to check? This
is my first tractor and this one has really saved my back, as I am older than dirt. Thanks.

If your hearing a "whine" it could be that your hydraulic system is restricted. This could be caused by ;

A clogged or restricted hydraulic filter

Worn fluid

Worn hydraulic pump

A loader control valve is not opening all the way

Or other causes. This is my personal opinion but how do you know your loader won't lift the amount of weight it used to? What do you normally lift? Hay bales, dirt? Engines ?

How does diagnose that there fluid is "worn"? That's a new one that I've never heard of.

How long since hyd filter was changed?? I would also suggest to take a hyd pressure reading.

Pretty good suggestions. On my 4010, it seemed to have an internal bypass on the hydraulics that seemed to pop pretty easily. I'd sometimes have to back away a bit to get the FEL to go up or to curl. It was pretty strong though. First job for it was the hauling of 22 tons of gravel. It'd carry the FEL completely full of gravel. Trick was in how you got it filled.
