I had the drive shaft to my FWD fall out of the tractor recently. A few months ago I had to do a repair to it and when I reinstalled the drive shaft, I couldn't get the snap ring to close around the pins that held the front of the shaft in place. I am no good with snap rings.

My buddy has a kabota and he uses something similar to a cotter pin whenever he removes/replaces his drive shaft.

Can I do that too instead of using the pins and the snap ring?

Thanks

Can you put a hose clamp on the yoke to hold the pins in, instead of the snap ring?
