john deere 4300 Question.

I was using my tractor this past weekend to move some dirt and I cut the tractor off. When I got back on it to start it wouldnt start. there is a white wire on the starter that i am guessing goes to the solenoid and ends up at the key switch. My father in law jumped it by skinning back a little section of the covering for the wire at the solenoid and the key switch. I can turn the ignition on and take the jumper wire and touch the white wire that goes to the key switch and it will start. I have checked fuses and relays and replaced the key switch with no sucess. is their anything I am overlooking.

Neutral start & pto switch affect starting. Seat switch may also affect starting
