Mowing John Deere 4310 mower deck will not raise or lower

Hello,
I am a novice with tractors. I removed the hydraulic lines that control opening the bucket on the loader and connected the lines for the mower deck and it won't raise or lower. It sounds like it is trying to do something but nothing moves.


When the lines for the bucket were connected that worked fine.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I think what Kenny is asking is, did you try to connect your mower lines in the 2 other connection, the one where the boom for the loader are connected and see if it works there. I would suggest before trying this to make sure your connection are in all the way. To facilitate connection stop engine, move joystick in all direction, that will remove hydraulic pressure in the connection coupling, reconnect your lines making sure they are in all the way and see if this work.

I disconnected, removed hydraulic pressure and reconnected. Now the mower deck moves some. Still does not seem to raise enough though. I am mowing tall grass in a field and want the deck as high as I can get it.

you will probably only raise it 5".....wheels are set max at 4"
