But another pic from that manual explains the motion match switch. Added because the earlier models (like my 4300) have immediate reaction to the forward reverse pedals that some people found objective.. NOT ME
If moving forward, letting off the forward pedal would mean a pretty instant stop. Or start if mashing down hard on the pedal. Feathering the pedal to a start or stop was possible.
But the electronics added to the 4310 meant that a slower response to the pedals could be achieved, so the motion match switch was added. First time driving a 4310 almost caused me to run over some equipment, as removing the foot from the reverse pedal didn't execute an immediate stop.. just took some time to stop. Some familiarity needed to get use to the setting selected. Think the setting is gradual from short to long..
You likely also have a Load Match switch.. this is located to the left of the steering column. Keeps from being able to kill the engine when overloading by trying to go faster without enough engine power.
