Hello, snow blowing this morning and lost all my fluid real fast. Could not lift blower up, refilled a few times to get it back into the garage. Steering goes away very fast. Took a quick look under and looks to be coming from hoses in center of tractor by front axle. It's cold out and not a heated garage. Any suggestion's as where to start to look for leak, wipe down clean and fill ?
Thanks in advance

sorry to hear about the issue, 445 are great units..
it sounds like it could be one of the hoses,, you have
hoses going to your power steering cylinder, and if one lets loose
it won't take long till you lose a lot of oil and hydraulics.
if you had someone sit on the tractor and start it while you look
from the side you may see where it's coming out, just be careful
as leaking hydraulic fluid under pressure is an injection hazard that
needs to be considered..
keep us posted!

Thank you, I'm hoping that it may leak without starting

Hard to tell in your picture, is yours missing the retainer plate?

No retainer plate is there, the end broke loose either from factory defect or vibration. The end on the line that goes into the valve is soldered on. It was broken away. I was able to remove the line and go in with a pick attached to vise grips and yank it out. To it to a hydraulic shop and they re soldiered it on for me for free. John Deere wanted 60 bucks for a new line.
Great info here thank you all so much..... back up and running.

Eboal - This same exact thing just happened to me when pushing snow yesterday. Do you remember what the part # is on that hard line? More importantly, it looks like the line goes into the SVC valve. How did you go about removing the line? Also... how did you get to the bolt head on the left side as I cannot get my socket to fit for the life of me.
