I have a 2010 John Deere 5055E open station I'm trying to wiring up a convenience outlet on (see pictures attached).

I was told one wire is constant power, another is switched power, and the last is your ground.

What's the best way to wire this up?

Suspect you need to locate the matching sources of "constant power 12v", "switched power 12v" and where to get a good ground.
Likely the red is constant 12v, orange is the switched power from the ignition switch, and the black is the ground.

Where on the tractor are you wanting to place the convenience outlet?
And what are you planning to plug into this outlet?

What is your need for constant power?

Do you have a volt meter to locate the power sources?

Welcome to TBN

I've never seen an outlet like that so no help there. However, when I needed power I tapped directly off the battery and ran the wire alongside the wire loom to the back axle and up the ROPS with a switch on that wire.

I've not seen a connector like that before. I like the cigarette lighter receptacle type as they're pretty standard. I prefer them switched so I don't have an accidental drain when not using the tractor.

I used the work lights wire stubs to install a USB port for phone charging. That wire is activated by the ignition switch. I went directly to battery for work lights, but they have a relay and switch.

I should have mentioned this in the original post, but it's for a bale monitor (see picture below). Last season I just ran a hot and ground wire straight off the battery and ran it up to the monitor temporarily just to get through, bypassing the adapter.

I wanted to try and mount it to a plate on the fender, or possibly the back of the light bracket on the rops.

I wasn't sure why it needed both a constant and switched power, but have been told it needs a good 12v connection, or it may not work correctly.
