John Deere 5055E
I own a new John Deere 5055E. This is a 55 H.P engine. It is the same engine as the 5075E except h.p. rating. I was wondering if there is a way to get 75 H.P. out of my tractor, since they are the same engine the Power Tech 3029. Everything looks identical from the 45h.p. -75 h.p. except the horsepower. Thanks Rich K.

technically you CAN, but you need to buy the bigger turbo the 5075e runs, larger injectors, larger injector pump, etc. by the time you buy all that you'll have spent more then if you'd just paid the difference and bought the 5075e to begin with. if the 5055e isn't enough hp for you, talk to your dealer and see about trading up. depending on how many hours you have on your tractor you might not take too much of a hit on trade-in. when i bought my 5203(same as your 5055e) my dealer told me to try it for a week and if it wasn't enough he'd take it back and bring me a 5303.
