John Deere 5203

   / John Deere 5203 #11
I have a 5203 and it ran a 7' bush hog through 3" dense brush just fine, even on steep ground. You keep it in A and it will go most anywhere. I think 11k is a fine for 1400 hours if it is in good shape. Ask him if he knows the previous owner and find out a little bit about how he runs things. If he pushes things to the limit but takes good care maintenance wise, I'd get it. If he does light work but none of the fluids have been changed and nothings been greased stay away from it. Just look it over, look for leaks under the tractor, if theres a wet spot, crawl under it and look to see where it's coming from. If it were me I would get it for what you're doing, they're a great little utility tractor and you won't have any problems doing most tasks.
