John Deere 5205 aux hydraulic problem

I have a root grapple on my 5205. The grapple was working, but when i went to go pick up some limbs and drop them, the grapple wouldnt open.

The hydraulics lines are all hooked up and not knocked loose.

I can push down on the aux lever and it wont even go in the float.
I pull back and it wont go back like it is suppose to.


I dont know if the valve body is messed up or if there is trash in it.

All my other hydraulic parts work.

Sounds as if detent mechanism is not operating correctly. Try applying some penetrating oil to the detent area accessed by removing valve cover(key 1).

Could you post some pictures so it is easier to understand your grapple system.

It is not going to be a "trash in valve" problem.

How is the grapple powered? By sharing the bucket cylinders using an electric selector valve?

From a rear remote outlet?

Which brand of Grapple and model? Who installed it?
