John Deere 54 inch snowblower

You owners that have the 54 inch front mount snow blower with the amount of snow we all had this winter. How is the plastic impropeler working?

Excellent! Never a problem.

While the plastic impeller was ok, I was disappointed with the throw distance of mine compared to my old 15 year old MTD 12HP walk-behind. So over the summer I replaced to plastic impeller with the steel one. This past winter saw some deep wet snowfalls and the metal impeller gave much improved throw distances. It threw wet slush almost as far as fluffy snow.
