Price Check John Deere 5520 used price.

I may have a chance to buy a used 5520, shuttle shift, front end loader, turf tires, 800lb wheel weights, 2002 with 650 hrs.
This tractor has been leased to a large company that I work for and the lease is about up and they are planning to get a new one. The finance company who has handled the lease and will be selling the tractor has not set a price. They indicated somewhere around $25,000. What would be a fair price on this tractor?

Is it MFWD(4wd)?
Isolated platform workstation?
Extra hydraulic outlets?

You can see, options can really add too. $25 K sounds like a good price if it is MFWD.

Talk to whomever uses the thing and ask questions about shape/condition if possible.

It is four wheel drive, 2 sets of remote hydraulics, don't know about the platform. The two people who use it work for the same company and it is mostly used to cut grass, 15' wing cutter. I will ask them about the condition and take a closer look. Just looking at it around the plant i would not have guessed it had 75HP.

The price new for a machine like this is almost $40,000.

They have taken the depreciation hit and now it will slowly depreciate to a point and then hold its value as long as you keep it serviceable.

We have a 5420 which lacks the turbo. There are times I wish I had the turbo when I get into heavy thick grass as it has more torque too. But 95% of the time, our 65 PTO Hp gets the job done fast enough for me. Actually, the motor has over 80 HP at the engine.
