the pto wont spin once its engaged was working fine.just put a new 4wd cable on since i had to use the pto ?.

Does your tractor have 540E pto option? Is cable shifting control mechanism?

Have you checked the cable from the PTO lever? Does it move the lever on the transmission case?
Do you have a 540/1000 PTO? Or 540e PTO? If so, does the PTO work for one speed, but not the other?
