Hi, I am getting desperate trying to find 1 or a pair of front wheels. Have contacted 5 or 6 tractor salvage outfits and I either get the run around or calls not returned. If anyone has them or knows where I can get them I would be extremely grateful. Thanks, James.

Well if you communicate with tractor salvage outfits the way you do here I'm not surprised they don't respond.

There are three rims available after looking on the JD parts website. The rib tire can obviously be eliminated because you say you have a 4x4. So that leaves either a 7 x 12 rim for turf tires or a 5 x 12 for bar tires. We need to know this info before we can help.

To me a wheel means a tire and a rim. If you could be more specific and indicate if your looking for a tire or a rim or both would also be helpful.

OK. Thanks for responding to my post. I was not aware that there was a difference in rims for turf and bar tires. The wheel and tire size is 6 X 12, bar tires. The measurement is stamped on the rims and, obviously on the tires. If rim(s) only are available that would be fine as my tires are good and it would save on shipping costs. Thanks, James.

John Deere parts site says it takes a 6-12 tire with a 5x12 rim . Rim is part# CH14719 and the cheapest I see is on ebay for $168.92 ea(free shipping)

I don't have any rims for sale but I'll tell you what I did.

I switched from 27 x 8.50 x 15 to a 26 x 12 x 12 tire on the front of my 4410. Obviously I needed rims to do this with. I was talking with the parts guys at the local John Deere dealer and explained what I was doing. Because it was winter and things were slow they ordered rims for me and because I wasn't in a hurry the rims took about a month to get in. Also because I wasn't in a hurry they gave me a special price. I don't remember what the price was but it was in the neighborhood of half off.

Now the part number for the rim you say you want is CH14719. The web site says that it's a 5 x 12 rim to fit a 6 x 12 tire. Googling that number gives a price of $168.92 which I think is ridiculous. But if you want a rim for your tractor that's what you might have to do. You can also phone the tractor salvage outlets with the part number as they quite often deal only in part numbers. I find if no one phones back that means they don't have the part.

I don't know why you need a rim but what I did with a friends tractor was cut out the center of the rust eaten rim and weld it into the outside of a good automobile rim. There were a few cars available with 12" rims. You can also buy rims at tire stores so that's another option.

Thank you, just having a part# should really help. $168.92 does sound absurd! Thanks, James.
