John Deere 670 vs 770

Hello, I have narrowed my tractor choice to either a 670 or 770. Both have very low hours, approximately 500 and have the same general features and condition. The 670 is $5,000 and the 770 is $6,500. For $850 more, I can get a 261 finishing mower attachment for the 770. My initial game plan is to have the tractor to play with for the short term. Eventually, I might use for mowing or perhaps plowing. Both of these tractors are in mint condition so I am having a problem choosing between them. Any thoughts and assistance would be appreciated. The JD dealership just gave me 6,000 for my 670 with mmm. The 670 is a great machine that sips fuel and goes anywhere.

Hello, did you have any horsepower issues with the 670? I keep on hearing from the dealers go bigger HP and that the $1,500 difference in price is worth it. I am really not going to put this tractor through any "power demanding" situations other than perhaps mowing and possibly plowing.

Don't get me wrong here our smallest modern tractor is a John Deere 990 and I think it is great, but for a task like finish mowing I would strongly consider something with a little better visibilty from the drivers seat. There are a lot of newer designs with much lower profile hoods for better forward visibilty, which can be important when trying to avoid small obstacles while finish mowing.
