John Deere 750 4 Wheel Drive. Front Wheels Not Pulling

I have a John Deere 750 compact tractor with 4 wheel drive. The front wheels quit pulling. The lever that engages the 4 wheel drive feels like the linkage might be broken. Anyone ever run into this before? I'm just curious what I might run into when I tear into it. Is it an easy fix? I'm not hearing any bad noises from the front differential so I'm hoping it's something simple. I also need to put brakes on my tractor. Dealer wants both arms, legs, and first born for brake shoes and drums. Any other places to buy them cheaper? Thanks for your help.

Did it stop pulling while it was already engaed or did you try to engage 4wd and it wouldn't engage ? I tried to engage mine once and it wouldn't engage either . I found out the linkage came unfastened , easy fix . Hope you are as lucky .

Hi, I tried putting it in 4 wheel drive and nothing happened. The lever feels loose but everything looks like it's connected externally. I guess I'll try looking inside and see if I get lucky.

Let me know how it goes. I have a 750 and want to know how hard it is to take it apart/
