I just bought a JD 750 with 4000 hours, it was used to cut grass with a belly mower. Is there anything I need to be aware of as far as problems? I plan on using it to run a bush hog and thats about it. It looks pretty good and mechanicals seem good.

I have a 2WD 750 with FEL and BH and 1260 hours on it. Have back blade and 4' bush hog, handles the bush hog easily. The only problem I have had is it wants to tip easy, even with back rims turned out. No ROPS makes for some interesting moments. Have had it on two wheels a couple of times

I have an '88 I bought new, now has 2200 hours on it. I have had absolutely NO problems with it that were not a direct result of operator stupidity (bent the tie rod on stumps twice, bashed the hood in using the FEL as a hoist ":^(

The original battery lasted 10 years, NAPA replacement has puked acid all over the battery tray, which required me to strip and repaint.

I use mine HARD, running a Woods 650 backhoe and a 5' Woods bush hog in tough conditions. It's done everything I've ever asked of it, starts in the coldest weather, and sips fuel like a society matron at a teaparty.

It IS a bit narrow and can get tippy if you're careless about getting on sidehills, but I've taken mine into some scary spots and gotten away with it as long as you think about what you're doing.

Change the oil and filter every 100 hours, air and fuel filters at least annually, and it'll last basically forever.

Are the 750 Owners/Tech Manuals available online or just from the dealer? I went to my local dealer and they would have to order the manuals, and had no idea when the manuals would arrive. (oil filter was only $6 and change though!)
