The company I work for had their CUT stolen over the past weekend which they used to mow the factory grounds it's about 6 acers of grass with lots of trimming. Nothing is safe these days I tell yah.
Insurance is giving us between 10000 and 12000 for the tractor.
We are looking at a John Deere Z840 new which ends up right in this price range. the 840 is liquid cooled. Want to avoid air cooled.
Anyways the dealer also has a Deere Z 777 which is pretty much the same as the Z 840 it's 1hp more it's an 06 with 64 hours on it same size deck and they want about the same for it as the new 840 give or take about 300 bucks. the dealer says the 777 is a much better machine than the 840.
My question is, is it really that much better? the 840 is brand new with a warranty the 777 is 3 years old with 64 hours of use on it now. seems to me for the tiny cost differance the 840 is the better machine.
If anyone has any input that would be great.
