John Deere 855 hydrualic problems after splitting tractor

Hello Forum Members;
I have a faithful and true John Deere 855, hydrostatic compact tractor. I had to split it recently to have some welding done on the rear differential front cover. I have put about 10 hours on it since I put it back together and the 3 point hitch arms and hydraulics have started to pulsate in the lift position. I don't know what to think at this point. Any ideas?

Here is the hyd data for the 855

open center

Capacity: 4.5 gal [17.0 L]
Pressure: 2050 psi [141.3 bar]
Valves: 0 to 2
Total flow: 5.6 gpm [21.2 lpm]

Have you cleaned and or replaced all filters?

Do you have a good coupling between the pump and engine?

Is the 3pt lever in the neutral position when trying to use the lift?

You could install a 3000 psi hyd gage and use it to trouble shoot and monitor the hyd system.

Thanks for posting. All filters are new or clean. At this point I am reasonably sure I have a good coupling between pump and engine, but until problem is resolved I won't rule out a loose connection. I do not have any leaks. Sorry I don't understand the third point. Is 3pt lever in neutral....? I can tell you that if I turn off the rate of descent control under the seat I can stop the surging. If not turned off any weight on the 3 pt hitch arms no matter how slight causes surging. The more weight the more the reaction in the hydraulics.
