I have a 7' John Deere sickle bar mower sitting out back and I was wondering if anyone has an idea as to how old it may be, what it fits, and what it may be worth.
Appreciate any info, Jason

Getting it up off the ground and cleaned up will help selling it. Unfortunate that such things are left to sit in the dirt and rust down. Appears there is a new pitman arm, so someone recently has (or has tried) to use it.
I see it is set up for 3 ph but would be concerned where the leading brackets attach.
It is a break-away bar, which is good.
It is newer than the 50's mower I used in the middle 50's.
All those do is stabilize the right/left swing of the cutter. Use your sway chains on your tractor to take care of that and remove them, if you like?. Ken Sweet
No, I have not hooked it up to a tractor, we got it from one of our friends in the scrap metal business. Just didn't know if I should try and sell it for some cash or maybe keep and use if it isn't worth much. Any idea as to vintage???
