I put about 10 hours on my 1987 JD950 this weekend up at camp and noticed loading it on the trailer a small pulled of hydraulic “sludge” on the front axle below the Hydraulic pump. Was hoping for just a bad o-ring or gasket and today I popped the hood to see what it was.
Turns out there is a line to nowhere that was tucked under the pump, coming off the right side of the block above the injection pump. Not sure if it fell off of a connection somewhere or if its some kind of drain/relief/overflow. Hoping someone can put my mind at ease
