John Deere compact track loaders?

Last December, i saw a note on the John Deere website that said they were going to have two compact track loaders at the Vegas show in March. Does anyone know anything about these machines? You guys did great, and still do /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, with the 110 tlb so I thought this would be the place to ask.

Dennis,

I checked my latest issue of Compact Equipment (Feb. 2005)and although it has extensive coverage on the Vegas show it has no mention of the JD equipment you mention. The January 2005 issue mentions that Deere has them in the works but no other information.

they are coming, preliminary order info is at the dealers now..

I heard rumors about a Deere compact track loader being in the works, but haven't heard anything lately. I guess we will have to wait until the Las Vegas show and see.

Both Case and New Holland will have rubber-tracked machines this spring. Seems ironic since three years ago in Vegas, I drove a prototype New Holland LS180 with rubber tracks. I understand that a German firm developed the track system. But, there was a falling out between Fiat and the German firm. Result: No rubber-tracked machine until three years later.

The New Holland that I drove was quite powerful. Rubber tracks deliver a lot of the power to the ground. I could push through a pile of gravel that would stop a wheeled machine.

We are getting the 1st NH track loader this week... we hope, they said we could have it a month ago. I did not drive it, but our construciton guys say its awesome. Its really difficult to throw the tracks off of it, that was one of the top concerns.

Are you guys asking about "mini's" rubber track hoes? If so, they are in available.

No, This would be more like a skid steer on tracks and would use the same bucket as both a skid steer and the 110TLB. (That's why I am interested in them. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

So far it looks like they start with a 69 gross hp unit, with SAE operating capacity of 3200 lbs. Base machine is about 38K, plus similar options as skid steers,, 2 speed, hydraulic quicktach etc...
Then they go up to 82 hp, at 4600 lbs cap.. for around 51k,
but, so far that's all I have,, can't find any pics yet...

I saw one of these tracked machines at the ConExpo-Con/Agg show in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, I just looked at the machine briefly. There is just too much other stuff to see at this HUGE show. You can't fathom of how large 1.8 million square feet of exhibition space is until you have to walk it!

Dutch445 is correct with his numbers. The model numbers are:

CT322 - 62 SAE Net hp., Operating capacity of 2,200 lbs. @ 35% of tipping load, 3,200 lbs. @ 50%

CT332 - 76 SAE Net hp., Operating capacity of 3,200 lbs. @ 35% of tipping load, 4,600 lbs. @ 50%

These numbers are from Deere's Construction Equipment 2005 Fleet brochure that I picked up at the show.
