I also use JD's on-line site for making monthly payments. But they are slow there too. Every other bill I pay on-line gets credited the next business day. JD takes 2 buisness days to record the transaction. They are very prompt in sending an email confirmation of the on-line transaction. I usually get that in a couple of minutes after clicking the submit payment button. In fact I don't bother writing down the confirmation number. I just keep the confirmation web page open until the email arrives and then log out.
