Ertl Precision Classics. Special Dealer only editions. Special editions from farms shows. The more metal the better. If you buy the dozers get metal tracks the rubber ones age and fall apart in no time. Do a search on ebay you will find a lot. Some areas even have annual toy tractor shows.

I dont have nothing facny or very many, but most were either bought at tsc or the JD dealer.

JD's are the easiest to find. I did buy a few online. All are 1:16 scale.

And since you said "post your collection", here goes

Ford 8n
AC D21 w/duels
JD 3010
JD 9420T
JD Model 60
JD 8210
Oliver 1655 w/ hiniker cab
JD 4010 Hi-crop
JD 6420
JD 9620 Collectors Ed. (comes with 1:64 model as well. painted gold)

All but the first 3 are still in the original box with price tag on it.

Nothing special, and probabally nothing of any value. They arent that old. Only bought ~5-7 years ago.

I am thinking of building a display case for my man cave and starting with a tractor and bailer from precision diecast models. Looks like you have a great collection. Pull those out of the box and display them, I think even the valuable ones people have really are not that valuable, if you know what i mean.

Anyone interested pm me can give you specs. The trycycle one is about 1/2 size of other one.Could probably ship anywhere to lower 48 for $300 all shipping included. I have no use for them. There is a great Farm Toy magazine you might look at, it's called 'Toy Farmer" it will tell you about new releases & articles on different collectors & farm toy collecting in general.

Here you'll see-em bigger.

Don't know anything about scales but the 1931 gp is 30" long x 12" high not including muffler stack.
The other tryc is 14" x7 " high.

Not even sure if they are official JD licensed products, bought them at JD dealer in Tenn, years ago only ones they had.

I have a lot of farm, truck and construction models (well over 1000). The farm models are 1/16, 1/32, 1/43 and 1/64. I started concentrating on mainly 1/32 scale but thats because my taste changed towards more of the european models. I didn't collect for any particular investment reasons or anything like that, I had some as a kid and just kept buying what ever models I liked. If I don't like it then there is no point buying it as I won't want to display it or anything. So my advice to you is to just buy what ever models you enjoy looking at. The higher the detail the more expensive so thats an easy way to keep your collection small

I don't have any pics of my collection handy but I have posted some on here before. I will see if I can find the thread.

Very nice  love the big crane. I am going to look at my local dealer first and start with one or two, maybe a tractor and implement

Yeah, the cranes are some of my favorites. The fastest way to spend money on collectables is to collect 1/50 construction items.

My local JD dealer also owns a toy store/ model train store, so half of my dealer is tractors and rental and the other half is all die cast toys. Everything from $2 tractor toys to $1000 model Lionel John Deere trains. So I have it pretty lucky.

National Farm Machinery Show will be this month. Might have some show special editions made just for this show. Someone going should post what they find.

Farm shows are a good place to find rare and expensive items.
I bought a JD 4020 wide front for $125 years ago and sold it 5 years later for $650. So you can make money at it. Just have to pick the right ones.:D:cool:

I have some of them...mostly the small ones...have to get some pics...

They were purchased at a model shop in the Lancaster, PA area. That place had all kinds of die cast models. :confused2:
