My outfit has been using the Alamo Mott flail for years. The type of work we do we need to change blades often and the Alamo system is very quick with the clevis/pin and cotter pin. Someone decided to buy new units and purchased John Deere flails. The blades on the JD hang from a d-ring that slips into a u-clip that's bolted on. So each set of blades is bolted on (33 bolts in all). I don't look forward to the time it's going to take to unbolt and change these blades. Has anyone come up with a work around for hanging blades on a JD flail? The Alamo uses a 1-7/8" wide clevis and they're just a hair too narrow to slip over the JD c-clip. And it seems most clevis are that width, I'm having a hard time finding wider ones. Maybe someone has a solution. Only thing I came up with is either find wider clevis's or cut material off the c-clips. Thanks for any help
