Recently purchased a GX 345 Deere Mower and am trying to mow cross direction on a slope and the thing is cutting off. It's as if the mower knows when the side tilt is too much and for safety reasons cuts off to save me. How to I get the thing to mow like I want.?
Any ideas?
Thanks

It sounds like you are lifting off the seat switch on the hill. Try to concentrate on keeping your backside tight in the middle of the seat and see what happens... quite a common issue...

Correct! The sensor is in the middle of the seat, not on the seat hinge, so you have to keep weight in the MIDDLE of the seat. I'm all for safety and have kept the seat safeties on both of my Deeres, but it's very frustrating to be on a slope with my 335 and have the engine shut off. My LX188 had a seat safety but it worked as long as you had weight on any part of the seat. I always felt a lot safer on slopes as you could shift your weight to the uphill side of the seat. Not so with the newer Deeres.
