John Deere LA

[PAT1]

Just picked one up at an auction. Owner said he had it running in the last month or 2. My first green machine and need any advice, knowledge ,experiences and help you can offer !!

It's a fun little tractor that can do more than its HP suggests.

With loaded tires and wheel weights, mine still lost traction before power.

If it doesn't have a starter other than the crank, then have respect for that crank. My LA was notorious for some "kick-back" and when it happened, you best not be in the way of the crank handle.

Loved my LA, but had some heavy field work to do that was a bit much for the LA, so traded it off. Wish I hadn't, but too late now.

Mine was always cranked and never had a problem with kick-back. Maybe the ignition timing was different.

Well...the owner decided it wasn`t enough money...backed out on the auction. First time Ive had that happen....it was online only. He did accept the bid I won on a Economy Powerking....picking it up wed. I`ll talk to the owner some more then...maybe
