John deere mx10 hydrulic offset

Looking for opinions on this mower, Read a few post about problems with the mx8. I also looked at the Woods 1260 offset, cost me about 1500 more then the deere. They dont make a offset in HX series. The deere dealer is selling me the MX10 for just over 7G. There also taking my woods 84 finish mower on trade for 2G. I think it sounds fair. Going to go with the semi mount, any pro or cons on the type of mounting. I have a lot of apple trees to cut under and hoping the offset will be helpfull.

I run a standard MX10 on the back of my 83E and besides a dumb mistake on my part causing a seal to fail, I have had no issues with it in 2.5 years. My neighbor pulled a MX10 behind his 5510 for a number of years and never had any issues with it. The semi mount should making getting around those trees alot easier and reduce your requirement for some front end weight! The only thing I can really mention is if you have alot of uneven terrain, it will do some leveling for you! just be ready to raise the deck a bit.

The offset is only available in semi mounted, so no choice on that.
A friend had one that he bought new. He has maybe 10 flat acres he mowed with it. He told me he should have bought the 8' for his use.
I wish I had told him to LMK if he were to sell it, but since he seemed to never sell anything I didn't.
Later I found out he decided to down size and traded it in for $4500 to the dealer. They sold it for $6000 before I found out he had gotten rid of it.
