JOHN DEERE MX10 stupjumper

   / JOHN DEERE MX10 stupjumper #11
Sometimes the "blade arm" (that is what JD calls the stump jumper-rotor combination) can be attached to the spindle in a pretty stubborn way. If you removed the spindle (center) bolt it should come off, but may well need a bit of persuasion. From the blade access hole in the top of the deck, use a pretty heavy pipe and bang on the ends of the blade arm. I would remove the blades first.

Rotate the blade arm after a few wacks on each end........it should eventually come off. It is snugged up on a spline, once it loosens a tad it will drop off.

BTW the twin spindles on a MX10 counter rotate so you cannot swap the stumpjumpers with out also swapping the blades, as the blades are rotation specific.
