John Deere \"roughneck\" storage containers

I just picked up a couple of those plastic storage containers (green with the John Deere Logo and name) at my local Wal-mart. No, I do not work for, own stock in, or have any special attachment to Wal-mart. But I did get a couple of these and thought others may be interested. I have three boys under 3 and 1/2 years old (no, that's not a mistype!) and these containers are a great place to store all their toy tractors, etc. Good for other uses too-like real tractor stuf. I think they are a Rubbermaid product so they are farely heavy. Just thought that some may be interested.

Re: John Deere \"roughneck\" storage containers

My 4210 keeps dropping mud on the garage floor. Do they
stock one that is big enough to put a full-size JD in?
My wife would like me to store my toys properly as well...

Re: John Deere \"roughneck\" storage containers

I picked up one to put my spare parts, and supplies in for my JD-B when i restored it last year. I removed the oem lamp holders to restore later, and added sealed beam bulbs for now.

I have a tub for each tractor i restore. And I keep the manuals, and spare parts/ oem removed parts for each tractor in its own container out inthe barn. makes it easy when doing maintenance on them.

Re: John Deere \"roughneck\" storage containers

You bet I am interested, I buy storage totes all the time and then the wife confisticates them for her craft supplies, maybe if I buy those JD containers I will get to use them for MY stuff.
Thanks for the tip.

Re: John Deere \"roughneck\" storage containers

Any idea what department they are lurking in? I will NEVER understand the store layouts (except that they are DESIGNED to keep you wandering around half the day...)

Re: John Deere \"roughneck\" storage containers

The stores are a "mess" to people who just want to buy an item...not to "shop" forever. I found them in an area with many othercontainers that were all near the "outside garden" area. I went to a different Walmart this weekend...and they did not have or ever hear of them. Ths store that did have them is the walmart at "The Strip" in North Canton, ohio. Now I beleive a Rubbermaid factory is in Wooster Ohio, so I am wondering if these may be a local trial item only...???not sure though and no-one at the store actually knows. Good luck

Peter are you the reason I can never find those containers? Seems we are both shopping at the same place. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
