I wanted to share what so far is a successful seat repair on my 7 year old x540 mower seat. The back of the seat came off last week and mainly I am to blame as I use it to push off of from time to time when I get off the mower. The bottom was also starting to come apart as well so I got some glue and went to work. I bought some 3m 77 spray adhesive off Amazon and applied a very generous coat to the seat back and the bottom seat. I got some over spray on the seat bottom but got it off using some brake cleaner. You can see the clamps I used for the seat bottom while I did the top then I jumped on it for 20 minutes to use my body weight to hold the seat in place while the glue dried. So far so good.
