We were all set to purchase a John Deere Gator, but then read reviews of those having problems with cold-weather starts, idling stalls, gasoline leaking into the oil, carburetor and engine problems.

Has anybody out there had such experiences? (This is a first time post...hoping to get some answers!)

Thanks!

Are you contemplating new or used? Our Gator is a carbureted HPX, bigger engine than the one you're contemplating. We bought it new in 2009, 276 hours so far, no troubles whatsoever. It's my wife's favorite farm tool!
