John Deere wood wagon

I found a rough John Deere 953 wagon running gear. I bought 4 new tires, sanded and painted everything and re-assembled. I then added 12' long 12x12 fiberglas I-beams (yellow) and side rails (green). The rails on the left side are removable which permits me to slide on IBC tote baskets with firewood in them. I can hold 3 baskets and strap them down with ratchet straps. I added a 2x6 T&G treated floor to haul brush or the grand kids.

I'm curious about the f/g I beams, what was their original use?
I've seen smaller angles and channels and even floor grating but nothing that big.
Seems like a perfect use for your wagon. No rust, no paint and I'd guess the only thing that might eventually bother it is prolonged sun exposure.

My local source is an Amish fence business. He buys "2nds" from various manufacturers by the flat bed semi trailer load. He uses the I-beams as corner posts. He gets smaller pieces for line posts. I did paint these pieces. The I-beams were a light yellow, the rails were grey. The paint will probably not stay on. Another nice thing about fiberglas is that there's no acid or salt in it to corrode the hardware. Standard Zinc coated bolts and nuts seem to last much longer than if they are contact with treated lumber.

To this day, I have not actually used the trailer, so it's not scraped up. I figured I'd post pictures while it was in prime condition.
