John Deere Z425 with 22 hp Briggs & Stratton engine

I am looking into buying a JD z425 zero turn mower, but i worried about it having a 22 hp Briggs & Stratton engine which looking at some of the reviews on the internet. They do not sound very positive about that engine. Can anyone give me a true picture of this engine, I am retired and do not want to be on the losing side of this purchase, because I wouldn't be able to replace it, if the engine is no good. I have approx 2 acres to mow with a sloped ditch in the front yard. Any help would be great.

B&S make good engines. And other brands can have engines that don't perform well. And some people just have trouble no matter what brand engine they have.
I'd be more concerned about the age and wear on the Z425, not just the engine brand. Eventually everything wears out.

Been there thanks for your reply, the mower is a new one, but I was worried about the motor dude to negativity in my research. But thought reply helped me feel more positive.
