John Deere Zero turns?

I have run both the ztrack and a Grasshopper, and I bought a used grasshopper. I like the deck out in front of me and the liquid cooled kubota engine is bullet proof. Other than the dumb things I have broke on this myself, I have had very few issues with it, in six years, and it is a 1996 model. So it was well used before I got it. Still mows great and has good power, and I can reach under trees to trim and not the branches in my face. If this one every pukes, I will get another one.

Everyone on here is going to have their likes for the Green - Check out FerrisIndustries.com... You will like the suspension and other great features that I will let a dealer in your area go over for you

What made you guys purchase the z9xx? I'm considering the z465 and I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing. I used a 2305 with the same 62c deck and had no problems. I just want to get it done faster. The way I see it I don't need diesel as I'm not a ommercial guy putting on millions of hours per year. I've seen post some where on this sight that the z465 only has a life span around 800 hours. By then I'll want another deere anyways.:laughing: I mow a flat 7 acres that is a little ruff in spots and I also have a long ditch to take care of. I'm not worried about the ditch as the dealer let me demo a z445 a few years ago before I bought my 2305, I did fine on the ditch with the zt. I'll get better with practice I guess and I always have my 2320 with rfm if I have to mow when its wet.:D

I have had a JD 757 since 2005 and the only issue I have had with it since I bought it was the seat switch failed. I didn't like it anyway so I just bypassed the interlock. Otherwise, it has performed flawlessly. If I were to buy another zero turn I would most likely go with Ferris, I have had a Ferris
36" walk behind for over 20 years and it is still a great mowing machine although I don't use it much anymore. I like the suspension on the new Ferris zero turns. I prefer the deck underneath me instead of the out front type due to the terrain that I am mowing. I have never tried the Grasshopper or Kubota mowers although I have had Kubota tractors for 15 years and they are great.
