I have disengaged the hydrastatic drive so we could move it around the shop . It has been so long since we used lever it is not releasing and is stuck in nuetral. We have pulled out the pin on the transmission housing but whatever is behind it is not coming loose.Is there anyway to get this released without tearing everything apart.Please say there is! Jim

What have you tried so far?

Have you looked in jdparts for what is inside the tranny? Not sure that will tell you what you need to do, but may give you a clue to what is connected to the pin.

I would suggest a stop by the Deere dealer for a talk with the mechanics.

I do know they can drop in with a bang if just getting on and pushing on the forward/reverse pedal.

Might try a long idle time to get the tranny oil warm, and easy on pedal pressing as well as moving the lever about.
