Does anyone know how to check the air induction heater on a 5410 to make sure it is working properly? Mine is hard to start in cold weather. Any help is appreciated.

Easy check ... When I push in the key to heat, I watch the dash lights. If they dim, I know the heater is drawing power and ... a lot ...to dim the lights.

So you have to turn the key to the ON position, then push it in?

I have a 5210 and yes you need to push the key. I have attached a URL to the owners manual.

From the manual "Activate the intake air heater system by turning key to the RUN position. Hold the key in for 10 or 15 seconds for temperatures above -18°C (0°F). Hold key in for 30 seconds when ambient temperature is below 0°C (32°F). "
