Jon: In a recent post you commented about replacing your BX seat with a 2410 seat that had a higher back. Did you have to do any modifications to the seat to get it to fit the BX frame? I would like to replace my BX seat with something that has a higher back. Just wondering if you had any installation problems. Thanks.

Hi,
The front 2 holes on the BX seat frame and the 2410 seat matched-up perfectly. The rear 2 holes did not match-up, so I welded a small steel plate into the BX seat frame to catch the rear seat holes. It was real easy to do the modification. I probably spent about 1/2 hour on the job.

The difference between the seat heights of the BX and 2410 is 3", however, that 3" makes a real difference in comfort. It was well worth the 96.00.

Good luck .....Jon

Jon: Thanks for the information.

Did you also install that shock-absorbing seat mount that normally comes with the bigger tractors on the BX? Just curious, as that is my aim, more than the higher seat back. The back property is killing my kidneys...
