The first of this month I made a post in the hydraulic forum concerning the slow curl action on my RK37. It takes right at 17 seconds for a full curl when the manual states 5.3 seconds. Long story short I swapped the connections of the curl/dump hoses and the FEL lift arms at the valve and the issue went from a curl issue to a lift issue. That eliminated the curl cylinders being the problem along with possibly a restriction in the hoses. I've been able to use the tractor even though it's a real pain. Yesterday I was moving a round bale of hay for my horses and I noticed that when I moved the joystick to the left to curl it and then pulled back on the stick slightly the curl action works fine. I'm now thinking that maybe something is loose in the joystick control and the slight backward movement pulls the curl cable just a little further increasing flow. My tractor is a cab model so to get in there and look requires removal of the kick panel. That in itself is a pain. Knowing that TYM makes the tractors for RK I looked at the parts listing for both and the part numbers match. My question is if anyone ever had to do any troubleshooting in this area? Are there any adjustments to the cables that might have loosened up? Just trying to get some ideas before I go tearing into this area.
