Afternoon Gentlemen,

I'd like to ask if anyone has a picture of the joystick layout on the B3030 cab? I'm considering selling the B7800 and moving up (sideways?) to the B3030 cab. I've sat on and test drove the open model, but as of last weekend none of the three local dealers had a cab version I could see. The only in-cab difference I can see between cab and open is the placement of the joystick. None of the Kubota lit. has a pic of this specific feature, and when I searched here, I wasn't able to find one.

I would appreciate it if someone could post a picture.

Thanks,
MFL

P.S.
Can anyone confirm the height of the cab version with R4's? Is it at, under or over 7 ft.?

I will try and get a picture tonight for you if someone does not post one in the mean time. My garage door is 7 ft and I basically had to remove the inside door hardware (handles etc.) for it to clear. I have the R4's and it is very tight, just shy of 7 ft. It will also depend on your approach angle, I have a ramp in front of my garage so it is a little tighter entry because of the angle. If your garage approach is flat it is better. If you get turfs, which are taller, it is over 7 ft.

I took a couple pics of my joystick for you. Unfortunately there isn't alot of sunlight in my barn today, so sorry about the poor quality. I'm another one of the Nancy-boys who decided i needed a cab. About a third of my tractor time in in winter on snow removal duty..... cab required, in my eyes. Spring and fall here, i'd almost prefer an open station. Summer days.... wow is the A/C great ! Even if you are in and out of the tractor alot, hopping in just dries you right up. No more being soaked in sweat. If money isn't killing the deal, go with the cab....... you'll never regret it.

As far as height, i measured a R4 tractor at my local dealer. By eye, with a tape measure, i had about 6' 10 1/2". My 3030 with turfs is about 7'1". I had to remove some trim from above my 7' door to get it i inside, but i will re-work it a bit and will add a 2" strip to the top of my overhead door. When i'm done no one will know. You should just clear your 7' door with R4s, but its close. Keep this in mind should you get snow on the ground.

I like where the loader stick is on the cab version, however I have somewhat long legs and my rignt knee sometimes rests against the stick and moves it a bit, but the location is real handy to work with.

My 3030 with R4s will fit in the standard 7' door. In the middle where the door sags ever so slighely the rubber sweep on the bottom of the door will sweep the top of the cab, so I always go in at the sides, avoiding the middle, if possible. Also, be sure to turn down the rear turn signals, I found mine were an inch or so above the cab and wouldn't clear the door frame, no problem, just loosen them up and turn them down a bit.

Thanks Guys, I really appreciate it! That's exactly what I was hoping for! I really like the size of the big B's and was hoping the cab ergonomics wouldn't be a deal breaker. I can see where the placement might be awkward for someone taller, but I don't have that problem. Just under 5' 7" so I have to think that when I finally get to sit in one it will feel as spacious as a Grand L feels for you 6' plus guys. For me the cab is really attractive for our Georgia summers. Last year without looking for it, I walked into a few bush-hogging jobs and a little landscaping work that paid okay for the time spent. I survived the bush-hogging because of the Tuff Top canopy, but I was really wanting a cab about four hours into the 16 acre job I did in July.

Glad to hear about the height also. I actually park the B7800 under a shed roof behind my shop and the lowest point of the roof is 7' 3". Sounds like if I go with R4's I shouldn't have any problems.

Ductape, the picture that was posted a week or two ago of your tractor coming off the trailer when Lawn King delivered the B3030 was the shot that set the hook for me. Don't know if it was the angle of the photo, or the beautiful sunny day or what, but that big little tractor looked PERFECT! I'm sure you feel the same way.

Again, thanks to all that responded. Much appreciated!
