I have taken the center nut off but haven't been able to budge it. Is there a set screw or something I might be missing?

the wheel hub is splined and so is the shaft. exploded parts diagram in your master parts catalog shows this.

if you are real lucky you can set a bolt into the shaft and center a puller on it then pull the wheel off.. but I have seen some so rusted that you have to cut and split the hub to get it off.. if so.. cut the spokes off, then use a die grinder or angle grinder to split the hub about 95% of the way.. stay out of the splines.. then use a chissle to finish splititng it.

penetrant oil willbe your friend.

I've done plenty of these.. only now and then will you get one that has to be split.

put the puller on it.. tighten, oil it good then walk away.. might loosen up over time.. just keep tightening it.

can also take 2 hammers and use one to back up the hub and smack the hub with the other 180' around the other side to expand the metal..

post back if you hit a snag..

i replace the wheel on my old 64 4000, and that sucker was really stuck. i got a good set of three pronged gear pullers and it finally came off with liberal amouts of penitrating oil and sweat. i thought i was going to have to cut it off. put some anti seize on the splines when you put the new one on, in 20 years the next owner will thank you.
