Massey CG2300
Wel I got my Little Massey home this weekend but not without alot of thought and hand ringing over what to buy. I actually had told my dealer that I would take one of his Kioti CK 20's this is a real nice machine. and I even opened my mouth over on the Kioti forum. Well as I continued to weigh my needs (70% lawn mowing) and given the fact that my property is pretty flat I got to thinking about the weight diff between the Kioti and the CG I had already looked at the sub-cut deere and Kubota and I thought the CG was IMHO the better of the sub-cuts. My property is clay and the wet spring and last fall left the ground saturated. I rationalized that the weight at almost 1000 lbs more was not the most practical mowing equip. So I called the dealer up and went back and drove the Massey some more. The dealer didn't care as he would sell me either one as he carried both. Then the kicker came when the guy I work for said he had a almost new Land pride rototiller 42 " (the perfect size for the CG 2300) he let me have it for $500.00 so I called and changed to the Massey and got her home on Friday night. So far so good and I think I will have less rutting with this unit. So goodbye to the CK ( I still tink is a good machine) and hello to the little CG a great machine for my needs. Glad to have this purchase behind me as the sub-cuts are pretty close in their performance. BTW I paid 12,500 for tractor FEL and a back blade.

Well I now have 6 hrs on the new machine and I am loving it. So far I have used the bucket and graded the drive used the backblade to smooth it out, used the 60" mmm to mow (real nice cut) and then I put on the tiller and ran it through the garden. every time I use it I am glad I bought it. it is working out to be the right size for my use.
