Just an FYI for ya'll. There seems to be an unusual amount of program money on tractors right now. We've been selling BX's and B's at the best price that I've seen them go at for awhile. I suspect that this is going to come to a quick end here when all the july programs come out.

If there are any fence sitters out there, you've got 3-days to stop sitting.

Unless I'm missing something, they sure don't seem to be doing as much for the cash customer. It irritates me a bit to find that the price can be close to a thou cheaper if you take their finance deal......... some of us have had enough of that in our past lives, and just don't care for it. If we can't buy it, we don't buy it.......... :)

Why not finance and then pay it off

That certainly is an option, and I suppose a way to "beat the system". I was just a little surprised when I got a quote, and then they raised it by such an amount when I told them that I wanted to pay in cash. It is a little harder to pay something off once you are all set up with payments than it is to write the check in the beginning....... and they count on that. Don't ask me how I know these things! :)

That's what we went for. 0 down and 0 payments for six months...then pay the lump a few days early and no interest accrues. Just put the money in a 6 month CD a few weeks before you buy and pretend you don't have it until the payment comes due. Personally, I would rather write a check on the day of the purchase and have an up front discount.

If you stop and think about it, it's the only way to go. I do the same thing with credit cards. I get 1% cash back for all purchases plus 2% on a few others. If they want to pay me to use their card, I'll sure oblige them :D

Frankly, the cash discounts are usually minimal enough that its better to take the 0/36. Put the Cash in an HSBC account paying 5+% and setup automatic payments to withdraw off that account.

I set mine up with 20% down 0% interest for 3 years with one payment a year. Then you open 3 Cd's at the bank one for 12 months 1 for 24 months and one for 36 months at the end of the year cash in buy an implement with the interest you earn and pay the note.

I am happy and they must be I got the discount for financing with them.:D :D :D

Don't forget to mention if you take the 0% for 36 on the BX's, you have to either take Kubota's insurance (472$ for 17000$ tractor for 3 years) or find your own policy and send a copy to Kubota. So the 0% APR may cost you 472 bucks.

I think the tractor dealers will be more willing to negotiate lower prices WITHOUT the 0% APR as puchasing a tractor will not be as attractive and sales may slow.

I'm looking at a cash deal on a BX24, will the dealers be more willing to negotiate if they lose their 0%? Should I wait a few days (July)to purchase?
