stopped by a local guy today to see these in person and was quoted 20k for a R3039 and 18k for a i3010.. whe i asked about the new G3033 i was told foldable rops was not an option, nor was dual remotes like the I and R models he had there on the lot. I wemnt mainly to test drive and see if a 1 hr car ride to a dealer for local support would be worth it...I was also told that to be an LS dealer prices could not be posted online...having seen RCO's web site... something doesnt add up.... Have also been in contact with smiths who quoted me a much smaller sum for the S3010. now Im not an expert with diesels but if I can take it apart most of the time I can put it back together w/o missing pieces.. guess its just a matter of local dealer supprtv vs phone/net/email support.... (yes I must confess have been peeking in on this forum for a while now, originally came by this forum while researching Jinma's) what do you guys all think local dealer support vs phone/net/email support?

It is against LS policy/contract to advertise prices outside of a dealers local trade area, or online. Most dealers who do this, get around it by advertising a package deal that includes some non LS equipment.

The G3033s are in very short supply currently. The dealer can order these with folding ROPS and remotes, but they are optional, where they are standard on the R series. Unfortunately, its not that easy to order a tractor to meet a customers desires as they ship them to us 4 at a time.

The reliability of these tractors is excellent and the dealer network is growing, we have sent several tractors out of state with no problems to date.

The S3010 is a great alternative to a Jinma, just a few dollars more, better warranty backed by a manufacturer with a US presence and a growing dealer network. its a basic tractor but built with excellent quality control.

Shipping is expesive so buying closer should save you money. RCO is in Austin, Smiths in NC, we are in Arkansas, where are you?

NE Ohio... Thanks for straightening that out.. wondered why some dealers had prices listed and others did not. just gonna have to start calling em one at a time. only other question i have a bout an overall price to figure on is taxes Ive seen it mentioned that out of state purchase does not have to pay taxes. does that still hold true? As for shipping some sites list shipping free.. if i bought local or thru a dealer 2-3 hrs away like sandy lake and shipping wasnt part of the deal I could probably pick it up myself.. hauls that are muliple days away travel time I could not do.

The problem is you get all the same functions the big guys give only at a better price. If you have priced JD, Mahindra etc "As I Have" you would see that the reason people (who sell other brands as well) may not give them raves is they cant match the price when you put them up to LS "apples to apples".
You can if you want less tractor.
I have no problem recommending them. In fact I'm thinking of stepping up to a cab tractor in the LS brand.
The dealers "for the most part" are great. There are however bad dealers in every brand so you cant say "everyone".
If you want more tractor for less dollars - now is your chance. I dont see LS staying low priced forever.

Yes with globalization of indusrty I realize that big names known in the USA and around the world have been made elswhere for years in the lower HP models.. Have been doing my homework for sure. My issue with the local guy was when i went in just to sit on one and see what models he had in syock(since his website doesnt list specifics) i was shocked when he told me the G3033 didnt have an option for foldable rops or options for dual remotes. when I irst inquired about the G3033 he said he wasnt sure since it was a new model then went and got his LS binder but told me no he couldnt get one like that. That floored me b/c I knew it was wrong from my research on here and the LS website and b/c if your going to selll something and support it, knowing your product is only the first step...Sad thing is while this dealer is not huge.. the original owner sold the super M I'm now using to my grandfather in 54, and has had good reputation in the farming community. One other example of not knowing the product line as I felt he should have was when I questioned the I-series being last yrs model, first thing he said was no it wasnt. 20+ mins later he admitted it was being replaced.. to me that not the honesty I'm looking for when making a 4 figure (or any) purchase

I was originally looking at a 3010. I need at least two remotes and the LS dealer told me they could add the second one right there for another $200.

The ROPS might not be too hard to chop and make into your own version of a folder. I'm very glad I have a folder. I have to pass under many low barriers with regularity, so mine stays folded. I'm making a shorter top bar on it that will pin into the uprights. I've had too many close calls on this hilly land to do without some protection up there. Getting the happy medium.
