After about a year of research I finally pulled the trigger on a new BX1870-1 yesterday w/ 54"MMM, FEL and loaded rear tires. I actually went to look at a slightly used BX1870, but the price I was offered on the brand new unit was just too good to pass up. I wanted to thank all of you for sharing your experiences and information on here. While I only posted a handful of times I learned an immense amount from everything I read here and it helped me to make my decision and zero in on what I needed for my property and tasks at hand. This was a large purchase for me, but I believe in buying quality and I know it will serve me well for many years.

Congrats, keep on reading in this forum, you will find all kinds of useful info. Only problem for me, I start wanting some of the extra "toys" for my vehicles.

Congrats on the new TOY ! ! ! I'm sure you will get plenty of happy use from it. I have a BX2350, FEL, MMM, Rear tiller. Had it for 6 years, and toe ONLY regret is that I wish I had gotten the next larger motor. Sometimes the extra power would be nice, BUT I'm not complaining. It takes EVERYTHING I throw at it and wants MORE.

The unit was in stock at the dealer but needs to be uncrated and assembled.....so waiting the week or so until delivery is going to be tough. Good thing they gave me all of the manuals when I was there, so that I would have some reading material to drool on in the meantime. Can't wait...and I'm already looking at my first accessory (ratchet-rake), and will likely order one tonight.

Read those manuals, order that RatchetRake, ponder a boxblade purchase and glad to see you changed your side profile info. Also plan to top up the fluid in the front axle after driving the tractor for a couple weeks, it settles after dealer tops it up at set up.
