John Deere X-758
a GUY has a John Deere 54 inch Snow Blade for sale . It looks very nice and he has the Hitch and all .
The thing is it is off a JD 425 Hitch Number MOHITCH031500 so the question is how close is the fit to a X 758 ?

It IS just wonderful that John Deere has so many different Hitches and they cost so much ???

My 425 hitch fits (albeit tight) on my X485, if that helps you any.

I see a bunch of stuff for John Deere Garden Tractors for sale . The problem is some state what it fits and can fit MOST do not . The real down side to all this is if you are selling or buying it may or may not fit what you have . Also the hitch is very costly so you really can not buy a used tool (blade) with the wrong hitch and turn around and buy the right one and save anything ? The one I am looking at is nice but fits a 425 and seller is asking $600 bucks . A new 54 inch blade cost $1500 and just the hitch cost over $700 .

The best thing to do is to haul your 758 to the 425 and see for yourself if it will work satisfactorily. Check for a full range of motion, excessive wear at the pivot point and that it hasn't been abused or sprung out of square. It could be that all you will need is some hose end adapters. And of course, come back here to let us know what you found.

Good idea it is only a five hour drive (ONE WAY)
I can have at my home in three or four days at no cost the down side is I would need to pay for it first .

do you have a JD dealer that you trust. If yes ask them or try looking at the JD parts website for the quick tach mount to see if the part numbers are the same.

For reference My son could use the same implements on his X485 and X749. This required changing a couple of fittings to reroute the hoses though.

If you get the serial number off the quick hitch, try and cross reference it with the one your tractor needs. If they are the same, you are golden, but if they are different then search google images and such for them and visually see the differences you can find and go from there.

My dealer told me the quick hitch from my 2520 and my X475 were basically the same, but the 2520 used different backets or whatever.
