Just a reminder about roping a deer....DON"T DO IT..

Couple of not so bright guys I went to high school with, hit a deer with there dad's truck. They neglected to check to see if it was dead. They were going down main street in the middle of town when that deer came too They got quite the surprise when he looked in the rear view and this deer was standing up in the back of the truck. But not a surprised as the local town cop who happened to be writing parking tickets and saw that deer in the back of the pick up go by.

The boys dad wasn't happy to have his new truck impounded by the game warden.

No Roping involved, but have had a tame deer im my neighborhood for a couple of years too.

Food is so abundant in summer that she disappears. Will see if she made it when winter comes around again.

An uncle told me of rounding up antelope fawns with the cattle during the spring out in Montana, attempting to rope deer and successfully roping a young bear out of a tree. Apparently his horse wasn't fond of bears & the bear with the rope around its neck didn't survive the fast pace of a runaway horse. I wasn't a witness to any of those things but he (my uncle) did actually inspire me to try to rope a coyote. Would have caught him too if he hadn't jumped through a barbed wire fence just as I threw the rope. Dear uncle also talked about cutting heads off of young sagehens with a sickle bar mower while mowing hay for the ranch.

That reminds me of days long gone, when the farmers used sickle bar mowers all the time. It was common to drive by a farm house and see a three legged dog in the yard or driveway. They were always managing to run along by the tractor and occasionally losing a leg or a foot. I know there were two such dogs withing 5 miles of where my Grandparents lived.

If true OP just lost all credibility and should be banned for life. Pulling a story off the internet and then passing it off as your own is about a lame as it gets.

Reminds me of Sawyer Rob lying about the "dealer" who told him TYM was buying branson.
