According to my operators manual, adjusting the sway chains (rods, chains, turnbuckles, whatever your case may be) too short will not allow the three point arms to raise fully. Assume that I also have the leveling link adjusted slightly shorter than the non-adjustable side. It would seem more weight of the implement, possibly a 6'box blade , is carried by the rockbox arm on the adjustable side. Now, when I am in the raised position and the tractor is moving, I bounce the tractor over a bump in the road. The weight of the blade is thrown upward only with no where to go. The adjustable link attachment point becomes a fulcrum and consequently I break the lift arm off the rear axle. As things come crashing down all the weight of the blade is on my adjustable link and it snaps too. Is this possible or did I type all this for nothing.
