That is very low hours. It looks good. I would get those hoses raised or protected because I know my luck.

I'll second the hoses need raising. Don't drive it in the mud or you will be STUCK. BTDT Back when I worked for a JD dealer those series tractors as a rule had very few hours of use every year. They are good tractors but parts can get very high $$$$$$.

I had one for a few years. I bought it with about 3200 hrs on it. It was a bargin. It looked pretty good, and only had a few issues. I replaced the head gasket, bought a battery, replaced two front tires, and split it to adjust the clutch. (plus some paint and decals for the bling factor) The pto would scrub when engaging. The pto scrubbing came back after a while, and I think it really needed the clutch replaced. I sold it about a year ago and replaced it with a 4720. Mine also had turf tires. The traction was somewhat limited. I used it mostly for mowing and box bladeing. I was a neat tractor. Simple and reliable. If mine had a front end loader, I would probably still have it.

Looks nice enough. Depending on $ and how the test drive goes, it could be a bargain.

Here is places for info that might help.

Good luck

Hard to beat a John Deere and that sure isn't many hours, it would of been a good buy with a lot more hours.

Agree with TX Jim, those tires do not go with mud, we bought a MF like that in 86 and because of our hills and getting stuck we traded it in on a MFWD. On dry ground with loaded tires, it was a really handy tractor.

Very good buy from what I can see. Back in the day , we had 3 of these 1050s in our rental fleet. Gave good service and were worked hard by our customers. Most parts will exchange with its non turbo brother 950.
Not to worry you, but the hour meter can be stopped from working by turning off the key while operating. [ engine is shut down by pushing throttle to off, past low idle position] You can learn alot in the rental business about people and how they treat rental machines.....Oh,be sure and run good oil, rated for turbo diesels. And allow tractor to cool down its beautiful little turbo before shutting down by idling for a few minutes after working hard. Good luck.

We've had a 950 since '86. Since ours was always (until one month ago) parked outside in the Pacific North Wet, several problems developed because of that. The clutch sticks to the flywheel during storage unless we kept the pedal depressed with a set of vice grips. The drums easily become packed with mowing detritus, and shifting gears takes the touch. That said, I would buy another, it's a great and fun machine
